PAUL PAGET

Paul Paget joined Savant Protection as the CEO to drive the company's strategy and plan for establishing a leadership position in the market.  A veteran of the information security industry, Paul enters Savant Protection with 30 years of high tech experience with companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 50. He brings a strong leadership background and a successful track record in growing and guiding security software companies, and has extensive experience managing sales and service organizations.  Previously, Paul served as President and CEO of Core Security Technologies where he launched the Core IMPACT product and successfully built Core into the market leader in automated penetration testing with over 600 customers in more than 40 countries.  Prior to Core, he was Senior Vice President of Operations for Baltimore Technologies Americas where he grew the company to a $30+ million dollar business. Paul joined Baltimore via the acquisition of GTE CyberTrust, where he was Worldwide Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  During his tenure, Paul established the CyberTrust brand as a market leader in certification authority products and services, growing sales by 100% in one year.  In 1999, he was credited by Frost and Sullivan as the “Marketing Turnaround of the Year” and subsequently positioned the company for acquisition by Baltimore Technologies in 2000 for $150 million.  Earlier, Paul held a variety of senior sales and marketing positions with Lotus Development and IBM. Paget holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Bowdoin College and has completed management, technology and executive education with IBM, GTE and the University of Michigan.

WALTER SIRYK

As CFO and Treasurer of Savant Protection, Walter is responsible for driving operational excellence and maximizing shareholder value.  Walter brings 19 years of expertise in product commercialization, international business, and corporate finance from a number of diverse industries including consumer products, wireless telecommunications, construction and manufacturing.  Prior to Savant, Walter held various positions in privately held, as well as large multinational companies including Fleet Boston Financial (currently Bank of America) and the Eastman Kodak company.  Walter’s broad background includes roles as COO, CFO, Director of Business Strategy and Product Management. 
Walter holds an MBA and an Engineering degree from the University of Rochester and has completed the Executive Program in Strategy and Innovation at the MIT Sloan School of Business.  He holds a U.S. patent in imaging technology.

RENE THIBAULT

Rene is responsible for sales, and marketing. He brings over 20 years of executive sales management, marketing, business development and operations experience to Savant Protection. Rene joined Savant Protection from Providea Conferencing, a provider of HD video and audio conferencing, where he led business development and was responsible for recruiting and enabling strategic channel partners. Previously he served as VP Worldwide Sales and Business Development at Groove Mobile, Inc., a managed service provider for audio and video content, where in 2. 5 years he grew revenue by 1200% and was responsible for acquiring blue chip clients. Earlier he served as VP Sales, Marketing and Business Development at Teloquent Communications, a provider of call center software, where he grew annual revenue by 155%. He also has held executive positions at Network Engines, Inc., Purespeech, Inc., and Centigram Communications Corporation. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Boston University.

ROBERT KAMSLER

Robert Kamsler is responsible for all research, development and engineering at Savant Protection. He brings over 25 years of R&D, engineering, enterprise and security technology experience to the Savant Protection team. Before joining Savant, Bob served as Senior Director of Engineering at Symantec. Bob joined Symantec via the acquisition of Altiris and Pedestal Software where he was a Vice President of Engineering in both companies. Through the rapid sequence of acquisitions, Bob led a team of developers, quality assurance engineers and documentation writers in developing SecurityExpressions software to audit desktops and servers for compliance to security policies. Bob previously served as the Vice President of Engineering at Softricity (acquired by Microsoft) where his team developed technology to virtualize applications and centrally manage their deployment. Bob has held several VP of Engineering positions at Servicesoft (acquired by Broadbase), where he led the design and development of the Knowledge Server product line and eCRM solutions. Earlier in his career Bob was part of the engineering teams at Belmont Research and Liant Software. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Computer Science from the University of Michigan, and did graduate work in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
